10th Anniversary- Celebrating the Greatness of US and UK Business!

Each year, the BABC Chicago encourages and recognizes corporations and individuals who have made significant contributions to furthering trade, commerce, civic, philanthropic, and/or cultural relations between the United Kingdom and the United States.  We look to well-established companies and also for fast-growth, emerging entrepreneurs and innovators.

The BABC Chicago is now accepting nominations for the 2013 British Consul General Awards. There are two award categories: one for best of the decade; and one for 2013 exemplary companies and individuals. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, 19 July 2013.

AWARD CRITERIA

The Nominee should meet one or more of the following:

  • Unique product, innovative service or breakthrough in technology.
  • Job creation through growth of exports or expansion of products or services that support international operations between the U.K. and the U.S.
  • Promoting internationalization by stimulating investment in production facilities and operations in the U.K. and the U.S.
  • Exemplary leadership for business, philanthropic, civic, and/or cultural organizations that advance relations between the U.K. and the U.S.
  • Significantly increasing a company’s trade performance/international exposure.
  • Providing leadership for state and local programs that publicize the importance of international business in creating quality jobs and enhancing quality of life in the U.K. and the U.S.
  • Outstanding emerging company.
  • Location in the U.K. and/or the U.S.
